They're looking to share their life with a foster family
Could you foster for Poole?
What is fostering
Fostering is looking after a child (or children) on a short or longer-term basis.
Who needs fostering?
We regularly need to place children of all ages from babies up to 18 – and even slightly older. As well as individuals, you can also ask to foster siblings or children with special needs.
Could I foster for Poole?
Why not? You will never know whether fostering is right for you… and you’re right for fostering… unless you find out more and then make that first phone call!
The different types of fostering
Foster care can vary significantly – from respite through to short term and longer-term care. You can also ask to provide care for children with learning difficulties as well as physical disabilities.
Support, training and fees
Foster with Poole and you’ll receive training, mentoring and support every step of the way, helping you to be the best foster carer you can be, together with generous remuneration.
Make contact and we’ll tell you what’s involved and chat about your circumstances. If you go to the next stage we carry out assessments and checks, and provide training and support.
I want to foster

Working in collaboration with our carers we develop tailor-made solutions that fit around their lives as much as possible: that allows many families to foster where they thought it couldn’t work for them.
